An irritated Mick Schumacher questioned his team's decisions after being overtaken by Lewis Hamilton in the short race in Austria.

Schumacher battled with Hamilton for the last point in the final part of the race after holding off the Mercedes driver with the help of DRS.

The German was inside the DRS zone of his teammate Kevin Magnussen, which allowed him to keep Hamilton behind, but the Dane eventually opened up more than a second and ended the DRS advantage for Schumacher.

Schumacher radioed for Magnussen to take his foot off, but that order was not transmitted or carried out, giving Hamilton the chance to take the last point.

After the race, a visibly angry Schumacher told Hamilton that he and Magnussen should have swapped positions because their pace was better.

Schumacher: "I think it's something to discuss. Obviously, the battle with Lewis was fun, but it shouldn't have happened. In some ways, I was a lot faster, so..."

Reporter: "Should you have switched positions with Kevin?"

Schumacher: "Yes."

Reporter: "Did you have that conversation over the radio?"

Schumacher: "Yes."

Reporter: "And the team refused?"

Schumacher: "Yes."

Reporter: "Did the team give you a reason not to exchange positions?"

Schumacher: "That is something I need to understand.
