"This qualifying was strong and I was peaking at the right time in Q3," he told Billy Monger after the session. "I'm definitely more confident and comfortable after the last few races."

F1's latest winner was asked if he could have taken pole for the short race, to which he explained that time is always up for grabs, but that is the case for all drivers.

"When you look back, you can see some places where there could be time. We did a good lap at the end of Q3 because the tires were cold. I know where the lap time is, but I wish I had done it earlier," stated the Ferrari driver.
