Daniel Ricciardo is convinced that there was no exaggeration in Lewis Hamilton's display of back pain after the Azerbaijan GP.
The seven-time world champion seemed almost unable to get out of his car after 51 laps in Baku, where his car bounced intensely.
The bouncing of his W13 was so severe that Hamilton felt a cold sensation in his back, with the team claiming he suffered loads of up to 6G.
"There were conversations about Lewis after the race. I saw some onboard footage, I saw div of him getting out of the car and stretching his back, and he wasn't exaggerating. It was really uncomfortable," Ricciardo told .
"We don't have much room to move in the position where we sit in the car, so we are not prepared for impacts."
"I'm not 100 percent sure if it depends on a rule change or the way the teams are adjusting the cars, but I wouldn't want to see anyone suffering unnecessary pain or injury."
Complaining about his own back pain in Baku, Ricciardo told the media, "It got worse and worse. And now I sympathize with everyone who has had it because it is bad."
"I feel genuinely stunned. I will definitely help when people talk about it. You know when basketball players bounce the ball really low? It felt like someone was doing that with my helmet."
"I know George (Russell) has been vocal about it. It's definitely not good for our health and general well-being."
