Ricciardo's future with the team has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks after comments from McLaren CEO Zak Brown that the partnership "is not living up to expectations."
In response, Ricciardo said he considered Brown's words "an indirect form of flattery." The Australian scored points again at the Austrian GP.
Now, in an attempt to bring the matter to a definitive close, Ricciardo insists that he plans to remain at McLaren for the 2023 season.
Writing on social media, he said, "There have been many rumors about my future in F1, but I want you to hear it from me. I am committed to McLaren until the end of next year and I am not leaving the category."
