Red Bull turns the tables and Verstappen takes over as favorite in Formula 1 2022

Who knew that after the Australian GP, we would be where we are in the 2022 Formula 1 season? In Melbourne, Max Verstappen abandoned for the second time in three races, while Charles Leclerc took victory number 2 for the year. Since then, however, after the Azerbaijan GP, the game has completely turned around.

This is because Ferrari has taken Red Bull's reliability problems upon itself: Carlos Sainz is still uncomfortable with F1-75 and recorded retirements in Imole and Baku, while Leclerc found himself betrayed by the Italian car in Barcelona and also in Baku. The Taurinos have nothing to do with it: five wins since Melbourne (four by Verstappen and one by Pérez) and absolute leadership in the Drivers' and Constructors' World Cups.

After Australia, the now favorite Verstappen charged Red Bull to put together an RB18 capable of finishing races - even with the championship in mind. Today, the scenario has been reversed. Can Ferrari still do it? Reporter Felipe Leite analyzes the season of F1's two main title contenders in today's video.
