Red Bull suspects three people in possible Aston Martin copy

The fact of the matter this weekend is the renewed Aston Martin model, which looks very much like the Red Bull car in certain respects. Obviously, this does not suit the team, and over the past few days we have heard about the situation several times.

The fact of the matter this weekend is the renewed Aston Martin model, which looks very much like the Red Bull car in certain respects. Obviously, this does not suit the team, and over the past few days we have heard about the situation several times.

It's especially piquant because Aston Martin has a history of copying cars, after all they did the same thing in 2020 in partnership with Mercedes, which earned them a reprimand.

Naturally, Lawrence Stroll's team responded by claiming that there was no intellectual property infringement. One striking detail, however, is that key Red Bull Racing employees have been transferred to Aston Martin. In that context, it is of course questionable to what extent Aston Martin's statement is credible.

Meanwhile, on German Sky Sports, it was reported by presenter Peter Hardenacke that he understands that Max Verstappen's team has "suspects" in mind. These would be three engineers, allegedly involved in copying "the green Red Bull". Specific names were not mentioned, but it is clear that Red Bull will not let this go unchallenged.

Despite the car having many similarities to the RB18, the FIA has approved the Aston Martin car for this weekend. Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll are therefore allowed to take part in this weekend's GP in Spain with their current bolides.
