Red Bull boss Christian Horner sees Ferrari and Red Bull very evenly matched in performance, and believes the Italian team will find the way out to avoid further breakdowns in the future

Red Bull finished the Azerbaijan GP with a double and saw rival Ferrari leave the streets of Baku with nothing after Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc suffered mechanical problems. Christian Horner, the Austrian team boss, believes the Italian team will find solutions soon, but knows they should have an advantage at the end of the championship when Ferrari needs new components.
"I think they have a very fast car, certainly on Saturdays. I think on Sundays we have performed equally well in almost every race this year. I think that was the case again [in Baku] from what we observed in the first few laps," Horner told Motorsport.com.
"They will work out their problems. I have no doubt about that. But inevitably it means they will have punishments at the end of the year. Of course, there is still a long way to the end of the championship. We have seen big changes in the points in the last four, five races, and this shows how quickly things can change," the British manager assessed.

The breakdowns of the two Ferraris happened for different reasons, with Sainz having a hydraulic problem and Leclerc suffering an engine failure. The abandonment left the race in the hands of Red Bull, who lamented the lack of competition to test the car's full potential in Baku.
"It's disappointing in many ways that the race didn't unfold, because I think we had a great car. I think we would have beaten Charles for the strategy we chose, but we have no way of knowing. The important thing is that we capitalized on their bad luck and got the points, because the championship is now obviously in our favor. But we saw how quickly everything can change," Christian concluded.
The next chapter of the Red Bull-Ferrari dispute happens this Sunday (19), at the Canadian Grand Prix, with full coverage by GRANDE PRÊMIO.
