Porsche boss suggests partnership with Red Bull Racing

Porsche's management seems to be interested in a return to Formula 1. CFO (or Chief Financial Officer) Lutz Meschke suggests a partnership with Red Bull Racing, with whom it has supposedly been in negotiations behind the scenes for some time.

New engine regulations will apply in Formula 1 from 2026. Among other things, it will make it more profitable for engine suppliers to enter motorsport's top category, which is why several brands are considering a change.

Porsche, which sees no "great economic risk," seems to be one of the new brands. However, Meschke indicates that Porsche would like to work with a big team, apparently pointing to Red Bull.

"If we are committed to the premier category of racing, then (let it be) with a strong partner," the CFO said in a conversation with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.

There is a good chance that Porsche will enter Formula 1 together with Audi. The announcement was originally supposed to be made at the end of June, but was delayed. Therefore, it is necessary to wait and see when both brands will officially come out with the news.
