"We have received reliable information that a group of protesters plan to disrupt the 2022 Formula One British Grand Prix and possibly storm the track on race day," says the statement from Northamptonshire Police, which makes a "direct appeal to this group of people" with its message.
The police therefore ask this group of people not to endanger themselves, the drivers, inspectors, volunteers and spectators. "Going to a live race track is extremely dangerous - if you go ahead with this reckless plan, you are putting lives at risk," the police emphasize.
The police therefore urge the protesters to talk and say that they are happy to facilitate a peaceful protest at the circuit. "We only ask that you do not create a situation that puts lives in danger," the urgent appeal concludes.
