Podium drivers in Austria receive suspended fines

The teams of Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, and Lewis Hamilton have received suspended fines following an investigation by the commissioners in Austria.

The three drivers who took to the podium were called out for allegedly violating Article 12.2.1 i) of the International Sporting Code - more specifically, the closed park conditions.

The article in question relates to "failure to follow the instructions of the relevant directors for the safety and orderly conduct of the event."

Noting that the drivers' coaches or "assistants" entered the closed park without permission, the commissioners confirmed the rule violation.

However, instead of imposing severe punishments, they decided to give suspended fines of €10,000 to Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes.

Therefore, the podium positions and the final result of the GP remain unchanged.
