Sergio Perez finished second after an intense duel in the final moments of the British GP. The Mexican managed to keep Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc behind him. Perez is more than satisfied.
"It was a great comeback. We didn't give up and kept pushing. We were pushing at the end and it was a great fight with Charles and Lewis. They were epic final laps. A good fight between us," Perez said after the race.
The Red Bull driver had to make an early pit stop after suffering damage to his front wing in a battle with Max Verstappen and Leclerc. Despite the setback, the Mexican managed to make his way back up the grid. In the closing laps, Perez found himself in an incredibly close battle with Hamilton and Leclerc for second place.
"I was pressured. Charles on the inside and Max on the outside. I had damage to my front wing. I had to change it and then I dropped to last place and recovered from there," Perez concluded.
