Starting from sixth place is a great result for McLaren, as it means that the team is ahead of at least one of the cars from the top three teams. So said Lando Norris, after the qualifying session for the British Grand Prix on Saturday (02).

According to the British driver, the third row starting position at Silverstone is the best possible result for the Woking team.

"I am very happy. Sixth place is the best we could have done today. I kind of missed my last lap, but I'm still very happy - it was a good job by the team. Happy with my performance today, I think I fitted the laps in when I needed to," said Norris.

"Starting sixth means being ahead of at least one of the cars that we know are faster than ours. It's a good position and hopefully we can maintain it during the race," added the Briton.
