Nikita Mazepin says he has filed a lawsuit against Haas over unpaid wages in a Swiss court. We reported on the Russian driver's decision to file legal action last month, following the ouster of him and sponsor Uralkali over the crisis in Ukraine.

"What I am talking about is that the contractual obligations have not been fulfilled," confirmed Mazepin, 23. He has now told the mostly Russian state-owned sports broadcaster Match TV, "My personal claim is ongoing."

"We have already chosen the jurisdiction - Switzerland. This is the place where the contract was signed. The lawyers have filled out all the documents and the claim has been filed for consideration," he continued.

"If they call me, I will come, but I don't think that will happen," concluded Mazepin, whose father Dmitry owns the large Russian fertilizer company Uralkali.
