Kevin Magnussen took advantage of Haas' good performance in the British and Austrian GPs to score points again, but unlike the others, the Dane came in behind teammate Mick Schumacher in both races. However, he dismissed any notion that he was upset about the "home defeat".

At Silverstone, Schumacher scored his first F1 points by crossing the finish line eighth. Magnussen was tenth, back in the top ten since the Emilia-Romagna GP. Last Sunday, the young German achieved a great sixth place, while Magnussen was eighth.

"As I see it, if he is faster, we have to work as a team, and I'm not going to block him and hurt the team on a whole," Magnussen assured. "I'm here to help the team. I didn't come here to win the World Cup now, that's not my position. I hope one day it will happen, but for now I'm a team player," he added.

The points scored in the last few races have taken Magnussen to 22 in the standings. In all, the American team adds 34 and appears in seventh, still far from Alfa Romeo, but with a slight advantage of seven to AlphaTauri. "I'm very happy that we scored twice as many points in the race. And if I had blocked it like crazy, maybe we both wouldn't have scored points."

About Haas' performance, the Dane celebrated the good pace, but without losing focus. "It's not perfect, of course, but it was two great weekends, two races and points in both for the team. It was 14 points in total this weekend, in the sprint and then in the main race, which is great for us," he concluded.
