Lucas Di Grassi started the weekend of the tenth round of the Formula E World Championship well. On Friday (1), the Brazilian driver was the third fastest in the free practice that opened the works in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Unlike the standard championship schedule, the Moroccan round foresees two days of activities, this Friday and Saturday, instead of concentrating all the practice sessions and the races in the same day. After today's practice sessions, the schedule foresees the qualifying session for 5:40 am (Brasília) this Saturday, with the start of the tenth race of the championship at 1 pm, broadcast live on TV Cultura and SporTV channels.

Good result - One of the few drivers who has been in the category since its first season, the Brazilian is in eighth position in the championship standings, and is hoping for a good result to move up the table. This year, Di Grassi has one podium (in Diriyah), three top-five finishes, and six finishes in the points zone in nine races. 0 best time of the day

"It's very good to come back to Morocco to race with Formula E. I have good performances in Marrakesh, including a fastest lap, but I want to win my first podium there," Di Grassi summed up. "Since the beginning of the season we have shown that we have a good pace but Marrakesh will be a race with a lot of heat, so the thermal control of the car, tires and batteries will be critical. But we are confident in our potential," adds Di Grassi.

The best time of the day was set by Swiss Edoardo Mortada, followed by Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne and Brazilian Lucas Di Grassi.
