Charles Leclerc says he will no longer be driving historic Formula 1 cars this year.
Recently, the Monegasque appeared behind the wheel of Niki Lauda's 1974 Ferrari for a series of demonstrations before crashing at Rascasse.
"The brakes suddenly went out and I couldn't stop the spin," Leclerc explained.
"Obviously, the car had been checked before it was used, but it turned out that a bolt on the brake pads was defective. You can't prevent things like that."
Therefore, Leclerc says he will no longer accept to drive historic cars at least for the remainder of this season.
"I am in a title fight, and to be honest, I will think twice before getting into a historic car," he said.
"Lest there be any misunderstanding - I consider it an honor to be able to drive cars like that and I am also curious about such experiences," Leclerc insisted.
"However, I need to cautiously consider how much risk I can take. At the end of the day, I was just a bit unlucky in Monaco."
