Charles Leclerc can look back on his Friday in Hungary with satisfaction. The Monegasque set the best time in the second free practice session. The Ferrari driver says his team focused on finding the best setup.
"With the weather conditions likely to vary this weekend, our main focus was on setup work today. We also did some race simulations, as we may not have the chance to collect representative data in TL3 tomorrow," Leclerc said.
On Saturday there is a high chance of rain at the Hungaroring, so TL1 and TL2 were important sessions to collect data for Sunday's race. The third practice session and qualifying are expected to take place in the rain. Red Bull Racing expects a tough battle with Ferrari, as the Italians look strong on the track.
"Although the track evolution is always quite high here, it was less than we expected today. It will be crucial to get the tires in the right window tomorrow," concludes the Monegasque.
