Charles Leclerc took his fourth pole position of the season today in Barcelona, ahead of his main rival Max Verstappen. Although he is happy with the result, the Monegasque knows what needs to be done during tomorrow's race.
"I feel good, but it was a very difficult session," Leclerc told Sky Sports. "I did only one lap, but it went very well. I managed to maintain, it was a good lap and the car was fantastic too, I'm very happy."
Despite finishing ahead of his rival, the Ferrari driver knows it won't be easy to maintain his lead tomorrow, saying, "I'm in a strong position to start the race, but we have struggled with tires in the last two races compared to Red Bull."
"We will lose if we don't manage the tires. We need to do a good job with tire management," Leclerc concluded.
