Charles Leclerc admits that July will be a "decisive month" for his world championship hopes.
After recent reliability problems and the new dominance of reigning world champion Max Verstappen, the Ferrari driver is now almost 50 points behind his Red Bull rival.
"July is a decisive month," Leclerc told the at Silverstone. "But first let's think about the race here. We need the perfect weekend."
After Silverstone, a circuit that should favor Ferrari, Formula One will have three more GPs in July - Austria, France and Hungary.
"We will see how it will be here, but the car is good," Leclerc said. "We hope to have a clean weekend. The next four races will be important, but we have to keep our focus and the rest will be natural."
The Monegasque defended Ferrari amid reliability problems, with many commentators suspecting that the team pushed too hard in pursuit of performance.
"Pushing to the limit is what we need to do if we want to win this championship. In the last four or five races it's gotten a lot harder, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. And I still believe as much as I did at the beginning of the season.
