F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, who recently indicated that Kyalami would be the category's next new destination, is expected to travel to the continent soon to talk to officials.
"We are interested in a return of F1 to Kyalami, but we cannot comment on the rumors that Domenicali is planning a visit," Christo Kruger, one of Kyalami's directors, told .
"It is up to F1 to contact us. We do not and will not have involvement as organizers of the event. We offer world-class facilities, and if F1 wants to use our track, we will do everything possible to make the event run perfectly."
