Several Formula One teams suffered from problems at the start of the season, which led the FIA to change the guidelines. However, Christian Horner doesn't consider this fully justified and wants to reiterate his criticism of the technical guidelines in upcoming talks.

Despite last season's title battle between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, this year the Austrian team managed to build a car that would once again allow them to fight for the world title. The problems with the quiques were also quickly resolved.

However, this is not the case with other teams. Mercedes' problems have lessened over time, but the team is still struggling with the car. However, Horner believes that the FIA should not interfere and that it is therefore Mercedes' responsibility.

"The technical directive is focused on the quiques, which only some cars have struggled with," Horner told Sky Sports. "So that should be discussed in the technical working group, which is the right forum for that."
