Hamilton vs. Verstappen after 150 races. Who wins in the statistics?

It was a better weekend for Mercedes in Canada, with Lewis Hamilton earning only his second podium of the season in Montreal.

That said, the Stevenage driver is still a far cry from what he has become accustomed to after seven world titles and years of dominance.

Max Verstappen took over the role of the guy to beat, with the Dutchman also reaching the 150-race mark.

As a result, there have been statistical comparisons between Verstappen and Hamilton, as well as several other famous names in the sport throughout history.

Starting first with the two current protagonists, Verstappen reached the 150-race mark much younger.

Youth is not everything, however, as everything else favors the Englishman.

He was six years older when he completed his 150th race and outperforms his fellow Dutchman in all areas - although obviously Max's time at Toro Rosso, a car that didn't usually win races, must be mentioned.

The standout number is that Hamilton has one more title to his name, but he also has eight more wins, 25 more poles and five more podiums. To finish, he has done the fastest lap three more times and finished nine more races.

Moving on to some of the other names and along with the aforementioned duo, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna also have records when they reached 150 races.

Starting with the German, who is currently driving for Aston Martin alongside Lance Stroll. Vettel leads what is surely the most important of them, world championships, with four to his name.

Alongside Schumacher, he has more wins, more podiums, and more fastest laps. Senna, on the other hand, is at the forefront when it comes to pole positions - he had 61 poles, but only managed to convert 39 of them into wins, eight less than Schumacher.

Fernando Alonso has had two titles and finished second in many races. Finally, Nigel Mansell took until he was 37 to reach this mark and finished the fewest number of races on this list, while Alain Prost had 79 podiums and two titles, both in a McLaren car.
