Lewis Hamilton has set Mercedes the goal of battling for top positions with Red Bull and Ferrari starting at the British GP.
With less than a month left until the Silverstone race on the weekend of July 3, Hamilton is hopeful of increasing his home winning streak.
"I hope that by Silverstone we will have the car at the point we need to be able to fight those guys for the win," Hamilton told members of the media.
"That's what I'm working towards every day, so that we can fight at home and give them the best race possible."
Hamilton believes his team will give him a competitive car in time as he prepares for the upcoming rounds in Azerbaijan and Canada.
He also needs to reduce his disadvantage to George Russell, who is now 34 points ahead in the battle between teammates.
"I know that everyone at the factory is working as hard as they can to keep improving the car, and I have no doubt that we will succeed," Hamilton concluded.
