Lewis Hamilton was second on Friday and talked about Mercedes' "good day" at Silverstone, however, he again reported problems in the W13 because of the kicks

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton ended Friday (1) of free practice for the British GP in a positive way. With a time of 1min29s105, the Mercedes' Briton was second fastest in free practice 2 at Silverstone, behind Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.
Winner of the British GP on eight occasions, including the three most recent editions, Hamilton reported the difficulties in free practice 1, which was marked by Silverstone's rain, making the track dry and wet at the same time.
"It was a good day. I wish I had gone more in TL1, but that wonderful weather showed up, which is what makes Silverstone so special, it can rain on one corner and be dry on another. It was wet on 6, 7, and even 9, but dry on the rest of the track. I couldn't ride on intermediates because they would have been destroyed, and it was too dry for rain tires, but we still rode a lot, I got about 10 laps out of it. I was happy about that, and I don't think many people understood that," he said in an interview with Sky Sports.

With a good lap in free practice 2, Hamilton reported that there are still problems with the Mercedes' kicks, but he said they do not generate physical problems. After the Azerbaijan GP, Lewis made public complaints of back pain from the effect on the W13.
"Free practice 2 was good. It still wobbles quite a bit, not so much on the straights, but in the corner it's quite hard. Not physically, but inside the car, in the tires and everything. We still have work to do, but it feels like a small step forward. We'll keep working on it," he continued.
Hamilton was also questioned about the updates launched by Mercedes. The seven-time champion mentioned that it is not yet possible to notice so many differences due to the not very similar characteristics of Montreal, Canada, and Silverstone.
"You can't drive as before on the same tracks with this car. It's harder, because of the characteristics, and everything it generates. It's not the same, but it's still fun to go through Maggots, Becketts, and Stowe. They are my favorite corners," he added.
