Lewis Hamilton and George Russell discovered the cause of Charles Leclerc's crash at the French GP during a conversation in the pre-podium room.
The Ferrari driver, who started from pole position, crashed while leading the race. He mentioned his throttle on the team radio, but later admitted that he had made a mistake.
In the pre- podium room, where the drivers must be weighed after the races, an exhausted Hamilton lay on the ground.
"What a race. No water all day!" said the seven-time world champion.
"Do you want water?" asked a Red Bull member.
Hamilton and Russell watched a replay of Leclerc's crash.
Hamilton: "He just made a mistake, right?"
Red Bull member: "No. Accelerator locked up."
Russell: "Accelerator locked?"
Red Bull member: "Yes. That's what he said on the radio."
Russell: "What, his throttle suddenly came back on..."
Leclerc later accepted full responsibility for the crash that left him 63 points behind Max Verstappen in the world championship.
"It's my fault, and if I keep making mistakes like this, I don't deserve to win the championship," he declared.
