Haas sees long season ahead and stresses: "Effort has to be in time"

Mick Schumacher believes that with a full F1 2022 season, you have to pick your moment to give it an "extra boost". Kevin Magnussen understands that logistics may be the big issue

Haas started the season well, with good results from Kevin Magnussen on his return to Formula 1. However, the American team could not keep up the good performance, and had problems and retirements. In the Constructors' World Championship, they are in ninth position, with only 15 points.

For Mick Schumacher, who is still seeking his first point in the category, it is necessary to know when to give an extra boost to improve the VF-22, since the team's situation is far from being the best.

"It will be very difficult," he said. "We know anyway how difficult a race weekend is and that means we will have a lot of them.So it's a matter of putting in those moments of extra effort at the right time, but also switching off if it helps so you don't run out of energy, because it's a long season ahead," he added.

The month will be full. That's because there will be four races in five weekends, before the vacations. Besides the financial burden on top of that, there are also the logistics that demand a lot from engineers and mechanics - which is the biggest challenge, according to Kevin Magnussen.

"It's going to be a tough month for the team, especially the mechanics," said the Dane. "For the drivers, it's a walk in the park, so it's not something I'm afraid of, I'm really looking forward to it," he followed.

"If you have a bad race, you go straight to the next one, and also because it's in Europe, it seems much easier. You can travel to the race on Thursday morning and a lot of people are home by Sunday night, so it seems easier than having two races in Asia in a month, let's say," he closed.
