The streets of Baku will be boiling during the time the Formula 1 cars are there for the Azerbaijan GP
The historic city of Baku will be on fire for the Azerbaijan GP on Sunday, the eighth race of the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship. It will be the hottest day of the weekend and will keep the capital's asphalt at an average of 50°C.
The information is from the Accuweather weather service. The start of the race is scheduled for 3 pm local time [8 am GMT-3]. At the moment of the start, the ambient temperature is expected to be 28°C with a sensation of 29°C.
In addition, the relative humidity is at 33% and the winds will increase compared to Saturday - although they are below Friday's gale - and will average 22 km/h and gust up to 37 km/h.
Saturday's TL3 even showed temperatures around 30°C, but it was only a quick activity. For qualifying, the temperature had dropped.
The weather does not change for the next hour, when the race is scheduled to come to an end. Starting at 4pm in Baku, the temperature stays at 28°C and the possibility of even stronger wind gusts, at 39 km/h, eventually appears.
Charles Leclerc starts at the front in the 'City of Winds' and is joined by Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen right behind.
