Formula One faces bitter cold and rain for Canadian GP qualifying day

Low temperatures and a high possibility of rain in the third - and last - free practice on Saturday in Montreal

If the rain did not show up in Montreal for the first free practice sessions, the tendency is that it will show up on the second day of track activities of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, this Saturday (18).

The information is from the meteorological service Accuweather. If rain is a possibility and not a certainty, the cold will certainly show up. At qualifying time, 4pm local time (5pm Brasília time, GMT -3), the expected temperature is only 14ºC, with a sensation of 11ºC.

Cloudy skies are also expected - with wind gusts around 56 km/h (average 32 km/h) and relative humidity at 63%.

Earlier in the day, at 1 pm local time, Formula 1 will have its third and last free practice session. The cold and the chances of rain will be higher: temperatures around 12ºC, with a wind chill of 6ºC, and rain of 1.8mm with a 55% chance of happening.

Wind gusts are forecast to reach 60 km/h, with an average of 35 km/h, and the relative humidity points to 76%.
