Formula One faces a sunny day with little chance of rain for the British GP

The Formula 1 British Grand Prix, scheduled for late Sunday morning (3), has less chance of rain than the last two days at Silverstone, located in the English county of Northamptonshire. More sun is expected, but temperatures are still reasonably low for a summer's day.

The information is from the Accuweather weather service. The race is scheduled for 3 pm local time [11 am GMT-3]. The chances of rain for the whole afternoon at Silverstone are the same: one in five, or 20%. On Friday and Saturday, the track was wet for first free practice and qualifying.

Despite the likelihood that the race will be dry, the temperature remains relatively low. The expectation for the start and the entire race is 18°C. The thermal sensation, however, for the first time this weekend, goes beyond 20°C: 23°C at the start and drops a little to 21°C over the next two hours.

The sky is expected to be predominantly sunny amidst a few clouds. Winds remain at an average of 6 km/h and gusts to a maximum of 15 km/h, which tends to occur only in the second hour of the race. The relative humidity of the air is close to 60%.

Carlos Sainz is the frontrunner for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, after surprisingly beating Max Verstappen at the end of qualifying.
