Formula 1 races French GP on a hot and windy Sunday at Paul Ricard

It's race time in Paul Ricard. The Formula 1 French Grand Prix, scheduled for this Sunday morning (24), will be as hot as it has been in recent days, but will still have the element of wind. This is a worrying set of weather conditions for drivers and teams competing in the 12th race of the 2022 season.

The information is from the specialized weather service Accuweather. The thermometers are expected to be at 28°C and feel at 30°C at the start. Throughout the expected duration of the race, the temperature stays the same and the sensation drops slightly, to 29°C.

It is an account that throws the temperature of the asphalt to above 50°C, since the sky will be very sunny over the track. The Formula 1 race is scheduled for 3pm local time [10am GMT-3].

In addition, the race features an element that didn't show up that much over the weekend: the stronger winds. During the two hours of the race, the winds remain at a considerable 19 km/h on average, but gusts reach up to 35 km/h.

Relative humidity also reaches 50% for the two hours of the race, while there is no chance of rain on the Le Castellet track. Charles Leclerc is the pole-position and has Max Verstappen alongside him on the front row.
