Ferrari has completed another day of testing for Pirelli. On Friday, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz used the Pirelli tires for 2023. During the season, there are several days of testing and data is collected for the Italian tire supplier. Ferrari has now completed its two days of mandatory testing for Pirelli.

Earlier this year, on April 27, the Maranello team also made an appearance. This resulted in a bit of an uproar. The teams suspected that Ferrari had driven with a new floor during that day, but the FIA said that no rules were broken. No new parts can be introduced on these test days.

Leclerc and Sainz drove the F1-75 at Mugello. The characteristics of this track are quite similar to Silverstone, so it is extra kilometers and therefore extra data for the upcoming British Grand Prix.

Therefore, it is no coincidence that Ferrari has already decided to race for a second time. Teams like Mercedes and Red Bull Racing have not yet done any work for Pirelli in 2022.

Pirelli's testing is "blind." This means that Ferrari has no idea what tires are installed on the car. They need to be driven at a steady pace, but the aerodynamics can be measured and that could be valuable next weekend.
