Enzo Fittipaldi will start from the front row in the first race of the seventh round of Formula 2, scheduled for the Silverstone circuit in England. The Charouz driver, who debuts at the British track this weekend, recorded the ninth best time among the 20 drivers on the grid of the Formula 1 access category during qualifying on Friday afternoon (1). With the inversion of the top ten for the shorter race, the Brazilian was elevated to second place.

"We did a good qualifying here at Silverstone. Our goal was to be among the top ten because, besides getting a good position, we entered the grid inversion, which allows us to start from the front in one of the races. The team gave me a great car and I got this ninth time, which guarantees me the second position on the grid tomorrow", said Enzo.

The Brazilian is going through a great phase in the Formula 2 season, having scored points in six of the last seven races of the championship. Such performance puts him in the eighth position in the classification table. Fittipaldi also pointed out that starting among the top-10 in both races at Silverstone makes him, at least, start the race in the points.

"Being in the top-10 of the standings is not only good for the starting position itself. It allows us to start both races among the drivers who score points, which is important. And from there, we can fight to advance in the races, especially on Sunday, when I will start from ninth position," Enzo added.

The first Formula 2 race at Silverstone is scheduled for 1 pm this Saturday, while race 2 is scheduled for 6:55 am on Sunday. Both races will be broadcast by BandSports.
