Formula One has reverted and changed the format of the drivers' press conferences back to Thursdays. Meetings between the bosses and the press will remain on Saturdays
The format of the F1 weekend is about to change. Starting with the British GP, the next round of the world's premier motor racing series, drivers' press conferences will once again take place on Thursday.
Since the beginning of the 2022 F1 season, the meetings between drivers and the press used to take place on Friday, just before the start of the first free practice session. Following complaints, the press conferences will be held again 23 hours before the start of TL1, each lasting an hour and attended by 10 drivers - divided equally into two groups of 30 minutes each.
The other 10 drivers not in the interview session will be required to attend a meeting to be held by the teams themselves, with the press, on Thursday.
The press conferences of the Formula One team managers will continue to be held on Saturdays, without change. The proposed change in format is subject to approval by the FIA's World Motor Racing Council, but it is expected to be fully accepted.
F1 returns in two weeks, from July 1st to 3rd, at Silverstone, precisely with the British GP.
