In the sprint race, which defined the starting order for Sunday's race, Max Verstappen had the best of it. The Red Bull driver took advantage of an internal dispute at Ferrari - which saw Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz duel strongly once again -, shot to the front and smoothly crossed the finish line first; not only confirming his pole-position and establishing himself in command of the grid, but also taking eight more points to his account.
