Ferrari filed a protest against Red Bull Racing after the Monaco Grand Prix. According to the Italian team, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez crossed the white line in the pit lane, but the race management did not agree.
Binotto, however, found his team's move understandable, he told Formule1.nl at the press conference, among other things. "It was nothing against Red Bull," Binotto emphasized when asked about it.
"We have a fair fight. It was more to show the FIA that we don't agree with the inconsistency of the decisions they are making this season," he continued.
Binotto agrees that Ferrari did not have the strongest performance of the season in Monaco, but at the same time emphasizes that everyone must continue with the confidence needed to deliver a top performance. According to the team boss, Ferrari has everything to keep fighting for the top spots.
