Band gets closer to Globo with the audience of the Austrian GP

Band managed to hold on to second place in the audience in São Paulo during the 71 laps of the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix

The audience of Formula 1 on Brazilian TV, through Band, the current rights holder, is stable in the last stages of this 2022 championship: it almost always shares or conquers second place. On Sunday (10) of the Austrian GP, however, the network from Morumbi was in second place during the race in Spielberg.

The information is from Teleguiado, GRANDE PRÊMIO 's partner site specialized in TV. According to the previous audience figures from Greater São Paulo, the main advertising market in the country, Band had an average of 4 points and a peak of 4.6 points during the 71 laps of the Austrian event.

It was quite an advantage to its usual rivals, SBT and Record. SBT reached an average of 3 points, while Record reached 2.5.

Even more than that, Band managed to get closer to Globo, which aired the Sunday program 'Esporte Espetacular'. The overall average during the race period was 6.5, but at 11:22, while Leclerc suffered to bring the car to the end with problems in the accelerator, the difference was only 1.6 points: 6.2 against 4.6. Then, at 11:27, it dropped a bit more, to 6.1.

Apparently, it is still a considerable distance, but Band was losing from 10.4 to 1 point at 9:06 a.m., before the race, when the Rio de Janeiro station had 'Globo Rural' on the air. Teleguiado also points out that F1 was also in the second place in Porto Alegre.

The 2022 Formula 1 season continues in two weeks, July 22-24, at the French Grand Prix in Paul Ricard.
