The great news is that Band will continue to broadcast Formula 1 qualifying and races live on open channel until at least the end of 2025.

The new agreement provides exclusivity for the broadcast of all races of the FIA Formula 1® World Championship in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The current contract would expire at the end of the 2022 season.

"We are very happy with the renewal. Formula 1 is today Grupo Bandeirantes' main sports product. I believe that the continuity of the partnership between Band and Formula 1 is the result of the good work done from last year until now. It is important to emphasize that Band and Formula 1 are partners in Brazil and we will always work together for the growth of the category in our country," says Denis Gavazzi, Sports Director of Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação.

"We are very pleased to work with Band for another term and continue the impressive growth we witnessed last year. Formula 1 has always had a significant presence in Brazil and an illustrious history associated with the country. The sport has enjoyed a great deal of interest in recent seasons and it looks like we are living through another great title battle in this exciting new era of F1," says Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation for Formula 1®.

"Band has the DNA of the sport. It has always been and continues to be the Sports Channel in the memory of Brazilians. And the arrival of Formula 1 has strengthened this pillar and become a great success. The numbers prove it. We have a brilliant team covering the entire season and we have space within the Group's vehicles to treat Formula 1 with the magnitude it deserves and the viewers want," says Rodolfo Schneider, National Content Director of Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação.

The Formula 1® transmissions rely on a specialized team. Sergio Mauricio is the official race narrator. Reginaldo Leme, who has closely followed eight world titles and 101 victories of Brazilian drivers, is the commentator. Max Wilson, pilot who conquered 37 podiums, 13 wins, and seven pole positions along his career, and Felipe Giaffone - IndyCar driver between 2000 and 2006 and the greatest Formula Truck winner in the last years - complete the team of commentators. Journalist Mariana Becker, a reference in Formula 1 coverage for almost 15 years, completes the team with her reports straight from the circuits.

After 41 years, the Bandeirantes Group is again the home of the category in 2021 in all platforms: broadcast TV (Band), pay TV (BandSports), radio (BandNews FM and Radio Bandeirantes) and digital (Band.com.br). Since then, the Formula 1 broadcasts have been a success in terms of audience and commercial growth.
