O Grand Prix Power Ranking each F1 race continues today after the 12th GP of 2022 in Paul Ricard, France As it has been happening for four years now, Adauto, Bruno, Leandro, Eduardo and Globo's guest Rafael Lopes - motorsports commentator at - continues together with our team to give notes to all drivers after each F1 race.
The scores, as it was in 2019, 2020 and 2021, will be presented in a table with the score of each of us for each pilot. In the last column of the table we will have the average for each pilot, which is what counts for the ranking.
The criteria for the grades will be the mistakes and successes of each driver in free practice, in qualifying for that GP, and in the race. But the most important will be his performance relative to the level of the car he has and to his direct opponents.
Lewis Hamilton "won" the Autoracing Power Ranking overall as the best F1 driver in 2019 and 2020, with Max Verstappen winning in 2021.
Today in the Autoracing Power Ranking you will see two tables; that of the GP in question and the overall ranking, which changes as the average of each GP goes on, as we consider this the only correct way to rank drivers during a season.
According to the evaluators that make up the Autoracing Ranking, the French GP was an average race, which was hampered by Charles Leclerc's mistake that prevented a close fight until the end against the current leader of theAutoracing Power Ranking and championship leader Max Verstappen.
By the way, Leclerc's solo mistake made him only P16 in the Race Ranking and he lost the overall ranking to Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were considered the two best of the race followed very closely by Carlos Sainz, who made a great recovery despite the childish failures of his Ferrari team during the race.
In the overall season standings Max Verstappen has once again taken the sole lead, while Lewis Hamilton is slowly closing in on George Russell, who is still in a firm P3 in his debut year for Mercedes.
Carlos Sainz gained the most positions in the overall season rankings and Bottas lost the most. Both varied by three positions.
Nicholas Latifi and Mick Schumacher bitterly regret the last two positions in the Autoracing Power Ranking.
There are still 10 races to go - less than half the championship - and not that much can change by the end of the season!
