Fernando Alonso revealed that he is in severe pain after his qualifying accident at the Australian GP and believes that F1's busy schedule does not help his recovery

It has been almost two months since Fernando Alonso crashed in qualifying at the Australian GP in Melbourne. And he said that, at least so far, he still feels the pain from the injury he suffered on his wrists. The Spaniard was even seen in Monaco with bandages, which he confirmed to Reuters: "It's because of Australia.
When asked what the problem is, the owner of the #14 car revealed that it will take a long time to fully recover. And with a packed Formula 1 2022 calendar, he emphasizes that even surgery is not an option to help him speed this up.
"Bones, ligaments, tendons, everything is a mess at the moment. I need two or three months and there is no surgery, nothing I can do, just rest. But unfortunately every two weeks I have the championship rounds, so I try to rest at home, but it will take some months," he said.

The Asturian finished seventh in Monte Carlo, recording his third points race of the year. He was even criticized Mercedes for leaving a stranded Lewis Hamilton in eighth position in his last stint, but replied that it was part of Alpine's strategy.
"It's not my problem. We had to manage the tires very well. We had some concerns that the medium tires could hurt our car a lot, and for the first 10 or 15 laps I took great care of that," he explained.
"After that, I accelerated again when I was told Esteban had to cut a five-second gap, but at that moment Hamilton didn't want to accelerate, but to hold Esteban back. Yes, disappointing," he closed.
