The driver duos of Alpine and Williams are becoming clearer for 2023.

The driver duos of Alpine and Williams are getting clearer for 2023.
Alpine already has Esteban Ocon under contract and it seems quite likely that Red Bull will extend its loan of Alex Albon to Williams for another year.
Williams may also have another driver "on loan" in 2023.
All indications are that Alpine intends to sign a new deal with Fernando Alonso, meaning that it needs to find a place for its reserve Oscar Piastri.
Reports over the weekend in Baku strongly linked the Australian, the reigning Formula 2 champion, to Nicholas Latifi's spot for 2023.
As for Alonso, the two-time world champion seems determined to stay on the grid, which would block a starting spot for Piastri at Alpine for at least one more season.
"As long as I'm competitive and don't suffer from travel, why stop?" the Spaniard told the Italian newspaper .
"Oscar is good and the team is free to test us, but they know what I have to offer. I believe I don't need to prove anything. Also, I have the advantage of knowing the circuits well and how they vary, which is an important detail."
"I haven't really changed since I was 25," he added. "My general attitude, the research beyond performance, the yearning for fairness in race management decisions. My desire for revenge is always alive."
However, he does not expect any official news about the contract for the time being.
"I still have two years in me, but decisions will not be made until the summer," Alonso concluded.
