Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon were thrilled with another double Alpine score in France, and now they want the team to stay on top in order to be comfortable in the Formula 1 2022 G4

Fernando Alonso crossed the finish line sixth in France and helped Alpine take over fourth place in the 2022 F1 Constructors' World Championship. This Sunday (24), the team went to the top-10 with both drivers, with Esteban Ocon in eighth, and left with high expectations for the rest of the championship.
Alonso highlighted that Alpine had a quiet day, concluding the planning without major problems. More than that, it showed enough pace to think big all year long.
"Satisfied with our race. We executed everything well, kept the pace and the tires well cared for. We worked hard on the balance of the car over the weekend and ended up stuck in the top-5, so a pretty solid race and more little points in our account. I got a good start and went to fifth, dropped to sixth, and then stayed there. This showed us that in a quiet weekend we can be in the top-6, and we hope to keep the consistency in the second half of the season," he said.

For Ocon, it was also a race of accomplished goals and, in the end, a positive result for being in the top-10 in his home race, which should even be his last in France.
"The goal today was to score with both cars and we did it. I am happy with my race today and it was amazing to drive with so many French fans here, I really appreciate the support. The heat was tricky, but beautiful track battles. We jumped up to fourth in the Constructors' World Championship, it's very positive, let's keep it up," he commented.
Ocon is eighth in the Drivers' World Championship with 56 points, 19 more than Alonso. Alpine is four points ahead of McLaren in the battle for fourth place in the Constructors' Championship.
